Hello Nostr. It's Mason. Chiming in from Minnesota. Not many merchants accepting bitcoin around these parts, yet. I'm wishing that will change soon. I had a conversation with my father recently about bitcoin and he was eager to learn more about it. I've started a weekly men's group, bitcoin meetup with a couple of my friends this summer. Small wins add up. This is a long-term shift for humanity. Find your niche and dig in.

#Introductionpost round 2 I've already introduced myself here before. But I figure I can introduce myself again, why not? My name is Mason. I'm from a small rural town in midwest Minnesota. I'm an Earth steward to the best of my abilities. I garden by day and study bitcoin by night. I'm learning spanish in between. I ditched my smartphone 5 years ago in exchange for a 'dumb' flip phone. I ditched legacy social media this year in exchange for Nostr. I imagine a good life for all of us in these radical times we are facing. I'm here because much of the internet has been compromised by bad actors as of late - controlled and abused by the profiteers. I needed to opt out. So opt out I did, and, continue to do. When one door closes, another opens... Nostr was that other door. I zap because my banks were tracking me. I zap because certain governments wish to impose digital id's linked to these bank accounts, which would in effect put the power of control of my money in the hands of these governments. That is something I do not stand for. Rather, I stand for my own governance and the power to control my own money. I shop the local farmers markets and food coops because I can verify the people and places where the food was grown. I grow my own food because it satisfies my soul, because I can be in full consciousness about the process, from seed to harvest to consumption. I am willing to adventure into new territories of our cultural, political and economic spheres of reality. Nothing is perfect in this life, why should we think everything should be in a perfect state? We can only do our best with what we have... ... what we have here in America is a turning of tides. New systems are emerging as old ones crumble. Our money is changing. Our politics and governance are changing. Our food is changing. Let's learn to change with the tides in true harmony, rather than fighting against it. I cannot ignore my intuition, and if I ever do, I shall suffer to my own demise, only to learn again how to trust it ever more. My intuition tells me the US Dollar fiat system is expired. It tells me that the lands, rivers, waters and food in America is largely contaminated by chemicals that can impart harm to the human being. It tells me that many of us are ready to step into a greater degree of self governance and move into a greater degree of communal living. I've spent much of the last 5 years of my life offline, in the real world, away from the screens, away from the internet. For myself, it is of utmost importance that I maintain a healthy relationship with technology, especially digital technology, as it can have a very powerful influence upon the human being. It's not about ignoring it, it's about coming into a right relationship to it. Alongside my gardening and bitcoin studying and spanish learning, I'm also helping to facilitate digital detox retreats at a place called Ocho Rios near Santa Teresa in Costa Rica. This is a new venture for me. It is one I feel deeply called to be part of. Taking time away from the screens has been life-changing for me and I think it can have profound impacts upon many of us in today's world. We must realize that we are the original technology from which all technology comes from if we are to move forward in this life in harmony to the greater changes that are coming. These digital detox retreats help facilitate and open us up to a deep connection to that sacred technology that we are. Speaking collectively now, our food isn't perfect. Our money isn't pefect. Our politics aren't perfect. Our state of the world isn't perfect. That is okay. Because all of this is natural, and that is perfect. Nature is perfectly imperfect. That is who we are. I wish that we can remember this... the imperfectness of nature. The imperfectness of who we are... so that we may remember a deeper truth, that through the imperfectness we can see the perfection in it and be made whole by that realization. I wish this for all of us, especially those of us who wish so dearly for things to change for the better. A reminder that things take time. A reminder that there's a greater plan before us all. A reminder that so long as we make steps towards a more wholistic life, things will change and impact will be made. Giant waves are made up of smaller ones. Your actions do not go unnoticed by the greater powers that be. Nature is my muse, my guide. Local food is my plate. The kitchen a sacred space. My intuition is my guide. My actions are my deeds. I am learning day by day. I am seeking my higher I, I embody it when I strive, I embody it when I am... it - my higher I. I enjoy writing, documenting and journaling. I love to study. Again, nature is my guiding light. Seeing others thrive brings me joy. I'm thankful for all the coders, visionaries and people who help make Nostr, Bitcoin and freedom tech alive. Thank you. The internet will not live forever. It will transform, change and shift. It may be completely obsolete one day. That's why we simply do what we can with what we have to make it the best it can be. Such is life. No need to get thrown off by the haters, the low-lifes, the one's who dwell on things out of their control. There's a greater plan for all of us and we can align with it.
