Hey, #nostr friends, a request: Could any kind people mess with www.plume.website for a minute and let me know what you think? I'm particularly interested in anyone who creates a burner account and how they find the new user log in flow.

I just missed screenshotting the alert that popped up - I was confused because I'd forgotten about it - it's set to automatically back up your profile once a week. Kind of handy if something suddenly messes with your info.

Didn't manage a full day at the fiat mine. Instead, I've been given half shifts for the next two weeks. That's good management. Where were these people when I really had to work, full time, all the time...?

GM #nostr. Experimenting with nip17 this last couple of days, proper mixed bag results. Sending messages from Plume, not showing up in Amethyst or 0xChat. Messages received showing up in some clients, not others. Messages sent from Amethyst not showing up in some, showing up in others. Chatting with @alp and having similar results - some messages appear on some apps, not on others. The results are total inconsistency across apps. Yes, they're all sending DMs to the same relays. Yes, they should all be pulling DMs from those relays. So why is it such a mess?

It's npubs and nip05s only - could you try the nip05 again, it does return an error sometimes but it should automatically resolve - it gives the server a bit more time to respond so it doesn't always return the result before that error renders. I need to fix that so it shows it's still searching really.

Anyone else feeling charitable with their time? Need some folk to test the public profile searches on plume.website - also any bug reports would be dead handy.

I've finally added the public profile view to www.plume.website - now you can search someone and not even log in to see all the bits that they do on Nostr. This has been one of my primary aims since I began developing this site. If anyone is feeling charitable with their time, could you please check it out and let me know what you think?

It's only because of the interactions from people here that I'm still finding people who were unfollowed during the recent follow list weirdness. Luckily I've added profile backups on Plume now so I can always rebroadcast an earlier follow list state. Anyone else that uses a plume nip05 can also backup their profile including pfp, cover image, lightning address, follow list, mute list and private favourite list - that's going to be updated to a different kind soon so they can be categorised.

GM #nostr - Bit nervous about getting up and doing stuff today as my back went bad on me three times yesterday and I had to lay out, once at a mates, once at church and once at another mates. Bloody awkward, and embarrassing having to lay down on the floor and wait for ten or 15 minutes. Apparently chiropractors are my best bet. Anyone else think they're worth the money? I'm still wary of paying someone to turn me in to a piece of living origami.
