Final hours of vacation. It’s been a great week. Participated in my first hashrate party, did my #40hpw of podcast listening, read some Rothbard, did a few data security projects, messed around in the garden, watched fireworks from the roof of the house, caught a beautiful thunderstorm, had a few fires, went on some nice walks along the lake, swam in the river, stacked some sats, and celebrated a 21st wedding anniversary with my best friend. Back to the salt mine tomorrow, but with renewed energy and a full heart. #grownostr

Redneck beach day. We found a spot on a nearby river that hooks back on itself so hard that you can float for 40 minutes and exit the water 20 yards from where you put in. And it’s shallow enough to walk most of it.

One of the best parts of being home all week has been adventures with “peckerhead” aka Moose. Since the day we got him he’s just been one of the great ones. #dogstr #grownostr

One of the highlights of my holidays so far was being treated to a banger of a lightning storm last night. I just sat under cover for much of it, had a few cold ones, and listened to some podcasts. It lasted for two hours or more, as the main storm rolled by us to the south. We had some crazy winds here. Gusts to 75 knots. I suspect many trees failed around the area. I was able to pull some great stills from videos of some of the strikes. Now that’s what I call the lightning network! 🤙🏽⚡️. #nature #weather #grownostr #lightning

It’s our “Satoshi anniversary” today. 21 years of marriage. Thanks to my wife for being my biggest supporter, my greatest fan, and best friend for 2+ decades. Thank you for putting up with my endless talk all of these years about 9/11, the military industrial complex, the Federal Reserve, Ron Paul, Austrian economics, computing, public key cryptography, Bitcoin, and preparedness. Thanks for understanding my need to vanish into the wilderness every Fall. And for reminding me that all of this craziness in the world is happening just as it has been written, and that God has our backs. And most of all, thank you for helping me hone my selective hearing to a fine point. Lol.

It was pretty cool this Redtail Hawk and his mate were both checking me out while I was out patrolling in the bush today. Lots of other wonders while I was hiking around.
