I haven't decided if or when I'm going to make the 9 hour drive to Seattle. I need to find out from the team out there what the plan is first. If they're going to keep her there for a while then I want to be there when she wakes up. The last time she was awake for a few days she was very confused, just cognitively not all there.
Wife is on her way to Seattle this morning. I'm bad at neglecting self-care when I'm under a lot of emotional stress. I forgot to feed myself yesterday, and I don't remember the last time I took a shower. I'm going to go take a very long hot shower and then cook some breakfast. After that I'll wait for the call that she's arrived at the hospital out there.
My routine lately is to smash two sugar-free "injury drinks" as soon as I get out of bed, and then make myself a nice rich pour over cup of coffee with heavy cream. View quoted note →
My daughter used to call them injury drinks, and I wonder if that's actually quite appropriate. Lord knows what I'm doing to my body drinking so many of these every day.
Sometimes packaging alone can sell a product. I bought this hot sauce only because it's shaped like a grenade. 🤣 image
Bitcoin maximalists are going to look like betamax maximalists in a few years.
The apk lockdown is nothing. You can still side-load by flipping a switch in developer settings. It's just an attempt to protect the normies from themselves. Normies don't side-load apps unless they're doing it unknowingly because they've been fooled into hacking themselves. View quoted note →
We're going to fly my wife to University of Utah research hospital. There they're going to put her into a very deep coma to try to "reset" her brain. It's not without risks. When you hold somebody on the verge of brain death, there's no guarantee they'll wake up again after. The alternatives are worse.
If you're doing Bitcoin wrong, I have no sympathy when your funds get stolen. FAFO. Liquid is gay.
All the different Schilling Excelsior ciders have been favorites of mine for years. Highly recommend any of them. Mango is not my #1 but it's pretty damn good. Screws are from a half-finished project I've been procrastinating on. 🤣🤣 image
It's a little chilly out today, but I'm going to sit out here anyway and enjoy the fall air unless I start getting rained on. I want to build a covered deck back here next year. image
