"hey, what's your npub?" image This is my npub represented with GLYPHBYTE. Grab the image above and upload it here: ...and you'll get my nostr profile. Glyphbyte is a simple idea: hand-written data that attaches a piece of the internet to a physical surface. One day I thought: why can't we have a QR code that you can memorize and draw by hand? That's glyphbyte. Write the first few bytes of an event id or pubkey as glyphs, and snap a photo to match the prefix against a relay. @OceanSlim 's excellent Grain relay (https://github.com/0ceanSlim/grain) accepts partial prefix id and author queries. If you have the first handful of bytes, you don't need the whole event id or pubkey; you either get exactly what you were looking for, or you pick from a list of partial matches. Either way, you only have to write a few symbols to encode anything on the internet. @fiatjaf this is why partial id and author matching matters, and I have a fork of nak that allows partials on REQs. Partial matching was originally supported by NIP-01, and it was optimized away for no good reason. Now we have a good reason to have it, because nostr allows us to effectively represent anything on the internet with a couple hand-drawn symbols. That's pretty powerful IMHO. GM btw

Thank you @OpenMike for conjuring such an excellent and unforgettable event out of thin air. Land of 10,000 Nodes was so much fun and so full of signal! I am still buzzing. I met so many interesting people, made new friends, experienced new places, and drank so many Old Fashioneds. If you missed it this year, you absolutely must go next year! I can't wait!

GM. I created a nostr-based 3D format named SNO: Simple Nostr Objects. You can scroll, build, remix, download (for Blender), and share 3D objects in my new client, I made SNO because I was already using this 3D format for ONOSENDAI, but having 3D objects as a first-class citizen on the nostr protocol seemed like a win. The SNO format is fully interoperable between ONOSENDAI and Snocrash. Shoutout to @chad for his color palette format implemented at โ€” you can now use palettes to color your SNO objects. You can reference an existing palette, include a palette inline, or fall back to the default palette that I've created for #cyberspace. If you want to include a SNO editor in your client, you can use as a package. See or for implementation examples. The SNO spec is here: After I had already designed and implemented 3D objects on Nostr for ONOSENDAI, I found that the PLY format (Stanford, 1994) was almost identical to my design. SNO modernizes the PLY format slightly and makes it augmented reality-ready. You can download a SNO as PLY and open it in Blender straight from Snocrash. Have fun!
