I've been staring at this photo for days. image Can't stop seeing it. The sky between day and night. Birds crossing from light to dark. One gabbiano standing witness. So I'm painting it. #art #artstr #painting #isolabellart

WHERE SHADOWS FALL image It started as purple and blue. Then the forest appeared. The figure emerged. The light found its way through. This painting is inspired by a photograph from @@Katie ⌁ (Katie), a friend I met here on Nostr. She trusted me with her image. And this is what it became: A figure walking through winter light. Trees dark against pale sky. Shadows falling on snow. The moment when cold becomes beautiful. Thank you, Katie, for letting me paint this. GM I am an early riser. I wake up while the world is still quiet, between 4:30 and 5:00, when the day is unhurried and nothing is asking for me yet. I prepare breakfast slowly, almost on tiptoe. A thread of vocal jazz fills the kitchen β€” Ordinary Music β€” barely audible, never demanding, just enough to keep me company. My little dog climbs onto my lap. Time stops there, without needing anything else. It’s the most beautiful moment of my day. The only one that equals it is when my wife wakes up and joins me in the kitchen, still half-asleep, her face not yet fully returned from dreams. I am grateful. Deeply. And I wish for nothing more than to live these moments, every single morning.
Lately, one of the nicest notifications I like to receive are those from my ntfy channel, alerting me when someone has purchased one of my paintings or art calendars. I should probably add some violin music to accompany them, given how much I enjoy receiving them. πŸŽ»πŸ«‚πŸŽ¨ #art #artstr #isolabellart
