Host of Rollz Radio | The Rollz Half of Rollz and Dice Rollz Radio is music‑driven podcast exploring creativity, independence, and value‑for‑value over RSS + Lightning. This show is my contribution to bringing more creators onto Nostr. DM me if there’s a guest you want to hear on the show. https://fountain.fm/show/Snh05N9KvMtgnIl422EW https://rollzmcguyver.com/rollz-radio
Creativity thrives in constraint! It’s cool to hear how Christian wrote the songs specifically for the 1 minute video restrictions. Tracking to tape seems to have that same effect as you guys discuss. View quoted note →
Decentralized music is artists hosting their own work and getting supported directly by the people who listen. Clipped a moment from my convo with @DuhLaurien ✌🏻👽💨 + a sample from her track with John Fletcher “Lady of the Evening”. The full episode goes into the history, the current state, and what the future of the DeMu space can be. Full episode is here: Featured track is here:
Fantasy Football is ripe for Nostr. Easy payouts and such. Who wants to join my league? Winner get 50k sats? Sound good. DM me if you want in. @fantasyfootball
Hip hop used to be a whole spectrum: EPMD, Rakim, KRS‑One, Run‑DMC, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Stetsasonic. Nobody sounded the same. (Not unlike many independent artists producing decentralized music in the V4V movement today). Jak Da Mak breaks down that shift in this clip and we go deeper in the full episode. The moment the culture disconnected, and why the roots still matter. I’m Rollz McGuyver. I’ve been on Primal for a short time, mostly observing passively. Now I’m excited to participate! I just made my first post recently. After learning about Bitcoin, it eventually led me here. Tbh, Nostr reminds me of the dawn of social media (Facebook in the early days), except this is different for obvious reasons. I feel like this is a community that nurtures and supports people who want to provide value. It has encouraged me to start a podcast. Really, it’s just an excuse for me to meet and talk to people who share common interests - which are audio production, recording studio, making music… oh yeah, and decentralization protocols that lead to people being appropriately valued for what they do! Nice to meet you! #introductions #musicstr image
