New Rollz Radio episode — this one with @Alex Nicol from @Strange Love
Sharing a quick clip where Alex breaks down the simplest onramp for musicians stepping into RSS + V4V. Platforms like Wavlake and Fountain make it easy: Upload. Publish. Earn. In the full episode, he also breaks down the path for the fully self-hosted approach with XML generation platforms like @Music Side Project and Indiesats.
No friction, no gatekeepers. Just music moving over open protocols.

Rollz Radio - new episode with Ryan O’Hara.
We talk songwriting, synths, vocal work, and how his creative process has evolved over the years.
There’s a lot here for musicians who care about craft, sound, and the discipline behind making things.
Plus we debut his track “I Can’t Dream Anymore”.

“I bomb atomically Socrates' philosophies and hypotheses can't define how I be dropping these mockeries” - #InspectahDeck #WuTangClan at Madison Square Garden tonight.

@npub19ha7...q0fa So I recorded the next episode of my podcast Rollz Radio (I talk to musicians about their music and life while discussing V4V). This guest is an entrepreneur and has a basic understanding of Bitcoin, but he’s not familiar with Nostr. He wants to put his music on Spotify and all the other platforms for maximum distribution. I meant to tell him about #HomegrownHits.
What else can I tell independent artists like him about decentralized music distribution?
Fractional-Reserve Banking - I’ve never heard it more eloquently put than in the Bedford Falls Bank Run scene from “It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946). George Bailey, played by James Stewart, reasons with a mob of people who all want their money at once. Oh, it’s a waxing poetic. If you haven’t watched the scene, I suggest you do.
Stewart says, "The money's not here. Your money's in Joe's house. That's right next to yours and then the Kennedy house and a hundred others. You're lending them the money to build and then they're going to pay you back as best they can. What are you going to do, foreclose on them?"
I had never really tried to understand previously, just kind of accepted things the way they were. I also never really got anywhere asking people for help in understanding the financial system. After watching that scene, I was almost convinced the system could work.
Stewart had a way with words. I like Satoshi's words better.

FIRE SALE! Goddamn AI image creation is fun. Disclaimer: this is investment advice | disclaimer 2: this is not #investmentadvice. #firesale #bitcoin

No, I’m not selling a shirt. Recently, I was out with my family and a street musician was playing saxophone. He was amazing. He was playing Take Five by Dave Brubeck (one of my all time favorites) when I handed my daughter a couple of bucks to put in his case. We walked to our car and he started playing my wife’s favorite song from Midnight in Paris, put a huge smile on her face.
On the drive home, thought to myself… that’s the last time I’m not going to introduce myself to a musician I appreciate. That’s the last time I won’t try to tell someone like that about #nostr - so they can take that talent to a place where value is appreciated with value on a global scale.
I put my damn logo on a damn shirt and wear that shirt everywhere I go to prompt a conversation so I never forget again.

Maybe it’s just because I love those tasty little orange mints, but this image amuses me. I never liked the term #orangepill. In fact, I can’t convince anybody of anything. That’s why I don’t directly try anymore to tell people about #bitcoin. I love observing the community on Nostr because it is about implementation of the technology - the layer 2, layer 3 solutions. People just want money to work and then to go about their day.
What has been your approach to talking about Bitcoin to people who matter in your life?
