Hey Bitcoiners, we need your help. image Out here in rural Malawi, we’re building Bitcoin Study Hubs — small, simple spaces where kids, farmers, and families come to learn what Bitcoin really is and how to use it in their everyday lives. The impact is promising… but we’re missing one big thing: We don’t have the learning materials yet. What we have are digital format of some Bitcoin resources, including those by @DarthCoin ₿⚡️ and others, shared on SN here: When resources allow, we'll start printing out these, because our target is the rural communities where there's no electricity grid. We’re looking for anyone in the Bitcoin community who can donate: Bitcoin education books Kids’ Bitcoin storybooks Beginner guides Teaching aids Printed diagrams Learning posters Any Bitcoin, or Lightning material Anything you think would help a village learn Bitcoin from scratch Even one book or one set of printed sheets can change a whole hub. These communities need to have libraries. Kids need to own books. When a Bitcoin book lands here, it will definitely change the entire community for the better. If you’ve got extra books, old copies, or teaching materials lying around, please consider sending them to us. We’ll put them straight into the hands of people who are hungry to learn and ready to build real Bitcoin circular economies from the ground up. If you’re willing to help, reach out: Nostr: @TAPEBOY Thanks fam. Every little bit matters. — Kondwani

Bitcoin Amoyah is a Bitcoin-only grassroots movement born from lived experience, not theory. After years of struggling with painful, expensive remittances while working abroad, I discovered Bitcoin — the first tool that truly solves the financial hardships faced by Malawi’s rural communities. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself fully to building a path toward real sovereignty for people who have been excluded for generations. This project focuses on what matters: education, access, and empowerment. From translating the Machankura wallet into Chichewa, to teaching families to use Bitcoin on basic phones, to building local Study Hubs and future circular economies — every step is designed to give rural Malawians the tools to save, transact, and participate with dignity. I chose the hard path: Bitcoin-only. No shortcuts, no hype, no crypto distractions. And I believe there are fellow Bitcoiners who know this truth deeply — that it’s Bitcoin or nothing. If you share that conviction, I’m asking for your support. Not for me — but for the villages, the students, the farmers, and the families who deserve access to the same freedom we talk about every day. With your help, Bitcoin Amoyah will build: – Community Study Hubs – Rural circular economies – Open-source Chichewa learning tools – Weekly education programs – Merchant onboarding – Real, lasting sovereignty The mission is simple: bring Bitcoin to the people who need it most. If you believe in this, stand with us. Let’s make the rural communities a living example of what Bitcoin can do when it reaches the grassroots. May the Force be with us all.

Don’t Quit Your Fiat Job – Change The Money, Not The Industry There’s some folks who believe that to “work in Bitcoin,” you need to leave your current profession and find a job with a Bitcoin company. But here’s the truth: you don’t need to quit your fiat job, to work in Bitcoin. All you need to do is quit fiat. The real transformation happens when we changed the money from fiat to Bitcoin. When you stop thinking in fiat terms, and instead start measuring, saving, and transacting in sats. So, don’t worry if you’re not writing code for a certain Bitcoin tool or managing infrastructure at a Bitcoin startup. That’s not the only path. If you’re providing real value in your community, you’re already doing work that matters. The only thing left is to get out of fiat and get into the real money. Think about it this way: the Bitcoin ndustry it is the foundation of the future economy, and that future is happening now. Just like the internet became part of every industry. We don’t need everyone to flock into a handful of Bitcoin companies. All we need is, everyone to bring Bitcoin into their daily trade, their businesses, and their communities. I think that’s the real revolution, we all are looking forward to: a teacher accepting sats for tutoring sessions, a farmer selling crops for Bitcoin, a local craftsman pricing goods in sats, a local groceries store accepting sats via LN payments. Every job becomes a Bitcoin job when you change the money. The hardest part isn’t learning a new industry, but it’s rather breaking free from the mindset that your only option is fiat. So don’t quit your fiat job. Keep doing what you’re good at. But stop doing it for fiat. Start doing it for Bitcoin ( a tool for: freedom, peace, love, hope, care and responsibility), which isn't just about figures. That’s how we all win. Quit fiat, not your job. image

# Lost Devices, Unfinished Dreams: I Won't Give Up! Recently, I faced an unexpected and disheartening challenge: my phone and laptop—my only devices for developing a Lightning Network app and a Bitcoin café—were stolen. This incident not only disrupted my daily life but also jeopardized two projects that hold immense potential for promoting Bitcoin in my country. image ## The Bitcoin Café: A Vision for Real-World Use The Wathu Café project is designed to demonstrate that Bitcoin can be used for purchasing goods and services without needing to convert it into any fiat currency. We're all aware of how traditional financial systems often complicate transactions, my aim is to create a space where customers can enjoy coffee and pastries while paying with Bitcoin. The café will serve as a practical example of real Bitcoin's utility. The idea is to create a welcoming environment where Bitcoiners and newcomers alike can gather, learn, and transact in the best money in the world. ## The Lightning Network App: Bridging Gaps in Malawi Simultaneously, I was working on Satsera app, a Lightning Network Service app, tailored for the Malawian market. The app is a Bitcoin-only app, supporting the Lightning Network and aims to enable users to buy Bitcoin with mobile money at very competitive rates. Currently, the prevailing exchange rate is approximately 1 USD for 4,000 MWK, whereas my app would offer rates as low as 1 USD for 2,500 MWK. This significant pricing advantage could make Bitcoin more accessible to the local population, especially in a country where financial services are often limited. The app is designed to be user-friendly and secure, ensuring that even those without any technical knowledge can buy Bitcoin with mobile money using the app. By integrating mobile money, a widely used payment method in Malawi, the app would lower the barriers to entry for individuals looking to use Bitcoin. With the Lightning Network's capabilities, transactions would be the quickest and most cost-effective and most secure, further encouraging adoption. ## Facing the Challenge Ahead Losing my devices has not only set back my projects but has also forced me to reevaluate my approach. While it feels daunting, I am determined to rise from this setback. Here are a few strategies I plan to employ: 1. **Cloud Backup Solutions**: Moving forward, I will utilize cloud storage for my projects to ensure that my work is safe and easily accessible from any device. But how secure are cloud backup solutions? 2. **Community Support**: I plan to reach out to local tech communities and Bitcoin enthusiasts for assistance and collaboration. Who is willing to help me out and collaborate with me? 3. **Crowdfunding and Sponsorship**: To regain momentum, I might explore crowdfunding options or seek sponsorship from individuals and organizations aligned with Bitcoin's vision and values. What are your recommendations? 4. **Revisiting Plans**: I'll take this time to revisit and refine my project plans, ensuring that I incorporate feedback and insights gained from fellow Bitcoiners. ## Conclusion While the theft of my devices was a significant setback, it has also ignited a renewed sense of purpose. The potential of Bitcoin and the Lightning Network to transform lives in Malawi is too important to abandon. As I navigate this challenging period, I remain committed to bringing my vision to life and proving that Bitcoin can indeed be a viable alternative for everyday transactions. With resilience and community support, I believe I can overcome this hurdle and continue my journey in this peaceful revolution.

We're Expecting Another Bitcoiner! image Life is full of milestones, but few in life compare to the incredible joy of adding to your family. I am beyond excited to announce that my wife and I are expecting another Bitcoiner! As we welcome this new addition into our world, we're filled with hope and anticipation for both our future family and the future of the Bitcoin ecosystem. For us, Bitcoin represents much more than what normal people can imagine. As parents, we see Bitcoin not just as a network of nodes but as a network of values: self-sovereignty, resilience, and truth in a world often clouded by uncertainty. We hope to be able to pass these principles along to our child and raise the child with the same commitment towards contributing positively to this revolutionary ecosystem. Our child will grow up in a world where Bitcoin continues to reshape economies, empower individuals, and challenge elite systems. Whether they contribute through development, advocacy, or education, we hope they find their own unique way to uphold and strengthen the network. To all the parents and future parents in the Bitcoin community, this journey is a reminder of why we do what we do. Building a future for the next generation means fostering a world where truth, freedom, and innovation thrive. Here's to raising the next generation of Bitcoiners who will keep the torch burning bright! We can't wait to welcome our new Bitcoiner within the next two months, into the fold and are already dreaming of all the bedtime stories about the Satoshi's gift, from the history of money to the Whitepaper, to the genesis block, Satoshi's gift, and the magic of decentralization. To my wife, the strongest and most inspiring partner: Thanks for being part of this great journey that is my life. Special thanks to [KG](npub1773r2y5zl3sa7xufmye96un3hf02rse8j82hkd45ps0wvk2hrkasslesjt), and thank you entire Bitcoin community: Thanks for building a better future: one step at a time, one code at a time, one block at a time. One sat at a time. Tick-tock Next block.
