One of the most common questions I get is whether I still get nervous before going on stage. The answer? Every single time. What helps me ground myself is thinking about my abuelitas, Abuelita Pepa and Nena, two grandmothers who were always the life of our gatherings. Whenever music played, they were the first on stage, welcoming everyone at our biggest celebrations. There’s a song by Bad Bunny, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which translates to I Should Have Taken More Pictures. Every time I hear it, I think of my grandmothers and the few pictures I have with them. It reminds me to cherish the moments we have, to take more pictures, and to soak in the time we share with the people we love. This Super Bowl weekend, give a few extra hugs, share a few extra smiles, and yes, take more pictures.

What if I told you our biggest threat isn’t an election or a policy… it’s something much quieter? Cynicism. When we shut off because the news is negative or life gets busy, we let a few voices take control and erode the rights that protect us. Civic engagement doesn’t have to be your top priority, but it needs to be on the list. Understanding the issues, staying informed, and having civil dialogue is the first step to protecting our communities and our democracy. I spoke to Carlos Alfaro about this on the latest episode of The Future of Human Experience.

Over the last few years, I have introduced the concepts of Bitcoin to my family. And for the most part they understood some of the basic principles. As a parent you learn to identify the “light bulb” moments in your kids. That is what happened when we played HODL UP this past week with the family. From the emotional response of my daughter realizing the reward block had been reduced, to my other child doing his best to put his coins in cold storage, to my wife asking me about the difficulty adjustment. I am so grateful to @FreeMarketKids & @Tali | Orange Hatter for putting their energy to bring this experience to life. You can see the thoughtfulness put into educating through play. Highly recommend checking out the game HODL UP. image

20 years ago, I was an engineering student, mesmerized by the innovations unveiled at CES—dreaming of where technology could take us. 🚀 This year, I’m attending #CES2025  for the first time, now as a business owner. A full-circle moment reminding me about what is possible.

We live in an era with more questions than answers, and that's the beauty of the opportunity before us. When I speak to audiences today, I encourage them to see the possibilities when customers, students, and communities are overwhelmed with questions and hungry for answers. The real work happens in those gaps. That's where we have a direct influence every single day.
