Guys, I am a nostr og. Early on the engagement was great but then it fell off. I left for awhile and when I came back things were toxic and negative so I left again. Now I come back and it is even worse from a toxicity and negativity perspective but on top of that it is a grave yard for engagement. Can someone help me understand why this is where I should be building? If I just don’t belong here, let me know please.

@HODL how confident are you in what anchor watch has built? Would you be comfortable using it for a substantial portion of your stack? For those who aren’t aware, they’ve built a fully insured collaborative custody solution.

I have a large following on X on an alt account and am committing to spending more time on NOSTR. My goal is to completely leave X but I’ll only do that if I see interaction here. So far, my return has been not great as it seems as though the toxicity and negativity of X has come here as well. Whatever happens, I wish you all the best.
I’ve been away from NOSTR for a few Months but always check back in to see how things are going. My observation is that the UX has improved and there seems to be more people here now and perhaps not surprisingly, there is quite a bit more of the negative toxic energy that we originally tried to escape when leaving twitter. I am starting to realize that this might just be equilibrium for human interaction at scale.
On a recent pod @HODL and @ODELL were discussing the bitkey and debating how much you would store on it. After getting one and playing around with it, I am struggling for reasons why you wouldn’t put your entire stack on it. It’s multisig, can be geographically dispersed, inheritance is rolling out this month, not sure if that will require kyc or not but most collaborative custody does, it allows utxo management, and you can set send limits that do not require the bitkey. What are the drawbacks? @jack
If you are a @primal OG, I want to follow you. Let me know.
I’m so grateful that this is not my first bitcoin bull run and I no longer think about “selling for profit”. Through no skill of my own, I have managed to end the last two cycles with more bitcoin than the cycle before. I have somehow won the lottery due to my disdain for central banking and government planning. If this is your first cycle, you are not too late, stack sats and hold your middle finger up to the government and you’ll be here in four years. Do it.
I’ve noticed this cycle that fewer people are asking me how much bitcoin I have. The world is learning that bitcoin is money and just as you wouldn’t ask someone how much money they have, you wouldn’t be so crass as to ask about bitcoin holdings. Each cycle brings more maturity than the last. Except for the memes. lol.
Inspired by bitcoin Atlantis to get more active on nostr. I think most of my X followers are bots. Any real humans here?
Would you use a ledger as part of a 2 of 3 multisig using Sparrow?
Like this message or reply and I’ll send you 1000 sats using eNuts. Or I’ll try at least. Not really sure what I’m doing. First 10 likes.
Honest question in light of the libbitcoin wallet hacks. Do you have anxiety about your Bitcoin being swept? Even if you use a hardware wallet and it’s open source, if you’re not a coder, how do you really know it’s safe? Is 24 words with passphrase enough? Should you go multisig? Should you spread your coin amongst multiple wallets? How do you personally get comfortable with your self sovereign security?
For those of you using multisig, what made you decide to go that route vs just doing single sig with a pass phrase?
Are one tap zaps truly possible? I selected my default wallet and turned off the wallet selector so now when I zap it automatically opens my wallet but I still have to send the sats. Is there another way to make it truly one tap?
#[0] hello
Today, as Bitcoin's value drops, I find myself unbothered and fearless for the first time. This isn't a reflection of Bitcoin's decline, but rather the US Dollar's temporary rebound as it continues its inevitable descent to worthlessness. I am truly grateful to be safely aboard the lifeboat as the Titanic embarks on its fatal plunge.
Dear 8 pounds 6 ounces... newborn infant Jesus, don't even know a word yet. Thank you for this bitcoin dip that you have given me the opportunity to buy.
I’m so confident in the importance and benefits of bitcoin for humanity, that the urge to be “toxic” when I hear ill informed opinions like this is almost overpowering. What are some ways to suppress this?
