been thinking about this since my last post — no bch merchants near me in the province, only in cities. and instead of just waiting for that to change, why not be the one who brings it here?
had a conversation with
@BCH Reply Guy about bchpay.cash and it kind of clicked for me. it’s a point-of-sale terminal that just runs in any browser. no account needed, no monthly fees, no card reader to buy, payments go straight to your wallet. it’s also open source and works offline, which matters a lot in places like mine where signal isn’t always reliable.
so here’s the idea i’m sitting with — what if i start small? talk to the sari-sari store i always buy from, the local cafe, the vendors i already have a relationship with. not as some big pitch, just “hey, here’s a way to accept this, no cost to you, no risk.” most of them have never even heard of bch, let alone known there’s a way to accept it with zero setup.
maybe nothing comes of it. maybe one shop says yes and that’s enough to start something bigger here.
if anyone’s tried introducing bchpay.cash to local merchants already, i’d love to hear how that conversation went for you.
