Checking the latest Bitcoin metrics, I can't help but reflect on the fact that in November 2021, tge network was secured with a total hashrate of 162 EH/second with a btc price of $65000. Today, it's dropped from a high of 1048 EH/s but is still sitting at 871 EH/s with a BTC price around $63000. The network is 5 times more secure with a lower BTC price. Sure we can expect hashrate to keep dropping but we're still in a much better position than we were 4/5 years ago.

What is your favourite DEX, or the onee most respectful of one's privacy? I have used HODL HODL and after reading through their updated privacy policy, I'm put off by how much data they retain and disclose to authorities. Our right to privacy is a farce and I wouldn't be surprised if, upon exercising our rights and requesting deletion of data an investigation is then performed because, how many users will go to the trouble of getting their data deleted? #Bisq looks interesting but it has constraints and I don't find it very user friendly. Any other option out there?

Another excellent interview of @Edward Snowden . "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear": Joseph Gobels, propaganda minister under the Nazi regime. Privacy, as argued by @Max in his praxeology and Howard Hughes, is the power to discolse what you want, when you want to whoever you want. Don't fall for the Nazi rethoric!

The UK government is still at it, upholding Nazi ideology in Ukraine against hystorical precedents. Western ideology knows no bound. The only question is why? Why is the West so determined to have a conflict against Russia? Could it have anything to do with the endless money printer and the levels of debt in western countries? Aren't all wars banker's wars? #NatoExit

What is your favourite way of buying non-KYC bitcoin? I've used HodlHodl in tge past but paying with Revolut in europe doesn't make it strcitcly non KYC. Cash is not an option for bigger amounts imho.

Privacy is power. Without privacy, we have no power to enforce any right. This is what I take back from yet another great @Edward Snowden interview. Most of humanity has been under the thumb of one power or another before, such as in the middle ages. We have freed ourselves somehow and we can free ourselves again after the current totalitarian shift, as long as we remain aware. Never, in the history of mankind, have so many owed so much to a single man. Thank you Ed!

Many of us feel we live in a period of pivot, maybe this is what 4th turnings are like. One thing I find intriguing is the ease with which society adopts marxist ideology seemingly being taught accross the west, in american colleges and in political science schools in europe like #SciencePo. Somehow 20th century experiences with communism and a large litterature on the subject weren't enough to deter a self proclaimed "ellite" to experiment with it again in the 21st century. Sure, Fiat shapes mentalities, but I know educated socialists who have all read Orwell, Huxley, Hannah Arendt, who keep cheering for the centralisation of power. Appart from ideology rendering blind, I'm struggling to understand how we got to this. Propaganda and group think are the mechanisms. But what happened to the notion of critical thinking I remember growing up with ?

From the Mises institute : " The correction is fundamentally about restoring property rights in a market that quietly abandoned them. New regulators, committees, and Basel frameworks are not the answer. Western bullion markets can fix themselves by admitting that a bar of gold is not a credit instrument, that a customer’s deposit is not a bank’s asset, and that the price of the oldest store of value on earth should reflect the metal itself, not the paper claims stacked on top of it." How long before Bitcoin starts having the same issue at scale regarding rehypothecation in the tradfi world it's moving towards ? https://mises.org/mises-wire/precious-paper-problem-divergence-western-bullion-markets

I'm just reading about knots grabbing 20%of the network. I don't think supporters all know that #Bitaxe really took off last year. In order to mine to datum, to your own node, you have to be running Knots, it won't work with Core. A good number of #Knots node have liquely sprung up just for that reason.
