In early games, name "Cirno" were written as "Chillno"; "no" means "belong to" or "related to" in Japanese, so, Chillno may be translated as "[Girl] which belongs to chills/cool/frost", or so;
Also, Cirno sometimes pronounced as Chiruno, while "chiru" may mean "dissipate/fall/fade/disappear"(?), so, Cirno may be translated as "Girl of autumn/leavesfall" or "girl near which things tends to crash/disappear"...
Can any native Japanese comment my crazy thoughts? What may Chiru-no mean (as name)?

Fun fact: in some languages (French, Russian) Cirno prononced as Sirno/Сырно; сырно literally means "cheesy" (not "flimsy" or "poor quality", but just "cheese + adj"), with grammar as in sentence "it's dark here" or "it's cheesy here"; word Сырно haven't "female" grammar, which makes it much more wierd & funny to use it as girl's name (as if Cirno not a fairy girl but something "it", foggy, unclear adjective/phenomena, or if it's more like joke than girlish name)
