Bit rushed on time, i forgot to make a couple of points that i will make now, geared to the developers, especially those that want to put "Nostr" into the background: First: if you give users in your app an "account" because that is easier; they will end up making another "account" in the next app they download, and at that point, we hardly differientiated from where we came from, its probably worse. Second: If your argument is 'if users are ready they can blablabla'; how are they supposed to get 'there', get 'ready' when you went out of your way to hide everything from them in the first place. How about you find a way to help them understand rather than hide it for the sake of "UX", which leads me to: Third: The best "UX" is probably the app that just 1 thing and that 1 thing only; and that set up only really makes sense if users are competent in using their profile in various apps. Well, thats mostly it, im off drinking beer now

agree with second and third with the first, @Karnage elaborated about both sides a lot on the nostrdesign website solid starting point when making a client, would honestly source it straight up to shakespeare
We need more designers who understand these concepts so they can create the UX solutions. And many attempts will fail, but we will learn what works best. This UX will need a educational layer, similiar what you see in non-custodials solutions in the bitcoin ecosystem.
Very well structured talk! Superb balance between simplification and detail. I am sure the analogies helped lots and made the topic accessible. I think you really did a great service delivering Nostr to more people. The only thing missing in the end was a "where to go from here" section, maybe name dropping a few easy-to-use clients - a call to action. Good job regardless!
🔥💜 aim for interesting & intuitive, not easy. "Easy" is a scourge on the entire ecosystem and does a disservice every new user. Based on this note, I bet that was a banger of a talk. 🫡
Well done sir 🫡 Appreciate you representing. Enjoy that beer 🍻 here’s one on me ⚡️
That’s easy, the call2action, go to the Nostr stand and ask how to get started (not for you, you have made it into the nostrverse 💜)
Technological paradigm shifts always require users to "take some steps" with you... The leap from Fax machines to Web pages required people to gain at least some technical understanding that they didn't have before. Simply obscuring it as "it's just a newspaper on a TV screen" might help at the beginning, but ultimately the training wheels have to come off. Here, what is the fundamental leap? Your identity is a key-pair, not something stored on Apple's server?

This is the way, #blobbimaximalist
Nostr is holy grail, bitcoin is the key and my #hotwheels are the collectibles inside it.. 🧡🧡🧡😝😝😝
