I think that still rings true. You have the option for KYC and no KYC and custody and self custody and they all interoperate. I think 100% of this issue falls squarely with this user and their poor choices out of all the options available. We are not gonna comply and complain our way into making bitcoin happen, especially with laser eyes confusing KYC exchanges with bitcoin.

The whole no nyc side seems tricky though to get in the ecosystem. Isn't that only p2p sales and then with a big markup?
Back in the day there were sites you could buy bitcoin they'd send to an address of choice. Was awesome since I could send bitcoin without needing an exchange account at all. These days those have all been regulated away.
