nostr is bigger than just twitter, end of story. people won’t stop using twitter, no matter what. elon has proved that.
👀
until we look beyond twitter, nostr will just be in the shadows.
YOU ALWAYS SEE THE LIGHT. WHEN I FOUND NOSTR CLIENTS BEING CALLED TWITTER CLONES I SAID OKAY LET ME POST SOME TWEETS THEN.
A very well-written in-depth article about the development, state and potential of Nostr 🙏 Momentum ↗️
there is also a way to mitigate spam on #nostr

It will be a huge stress test for the network if we suddenly got all the attention. The reaction of the 'authorities' would be something that nightmares are made of.
Why you still holding on to Twitter?
Less twitter, more nostr.
I think that majority of people don't have anything in mind with their data being harvested.
great article 👏

Bitcoin, cats and Guinness

There’s a lot of cynics and delusional people in the comments of that article
I think that is what BlueSky was meant to do, but it became untenable to do so.
Hope Musk truly cares about freedom of speech and does this. He probably hasn’t heard of nostr yet, so our job is to make people understand it.
Bluesky was made by jack not musk
Might go against Twitter's business model... Adopting a nostr type of infrastructure means that you're no longer in control of the narrative + the advertisement business model doesn't work
🫂
I don’t know, relay operations will become a business model soon, and clients like primal and damus also have to make profit somehow, maybe adding ads? There will be plenty business models here soon
If only I could secure my private key properly on firefox...
Twitter, a good product, is always copied and cannot be surpassed. Twitter is my favorite. But Twitter was banned by the evil CCP.
why are you assholes zapping this note that's just a link to a post that's not even by this grand asshole?
Twitter is past, Nostr is future.
Correct! Sorry if you inferred that from what I said.
...but I thought Nostr was the "Twitter Killer?"

Can Nostr Make Twitter's Dreams Come True?
Twitter's founder says Nostr is “100 percent what we wanted”—an open, ownerless network.

The funny thing is we already had this long ago. It was called Usenet, Newsgroups, or ALTNET depending who you asked.
Why didn't it thrive in the new century?
I can only read it. And it sounds hopeful.
