@ODELL called saylor’s position on this in early 2025, he “owns” a shit ton of Bitcoin and until now, exactly how much has he contributed to the upkeep of the code that basically underpins his whole business. Oh wait, digital credit is the innovation here, my bad. To say the timing and nature of this change of heart would suggest this “nothingness” “low probability soft fork” has galvanised some action. If only it wasn’t quite so suitcoin oriented. “Free and open protocol”!!!! Self custody and short the suitcoin into the ground. 😂 image View quoted note →

Another strike in ODELL’s long record of being wrong. One might wonder what else he’s been wrong about lately. If he cared about consistency, he’d support BIP110. But nooo, it’s irrelevant, even though it just made Saylor do a 180 on his views on Bitcoin development.

Saylor's Bitcoin stash is a drop in the ocean of his true wealth, built on the backs of taxpayer-subsidized MicroStrategy stocks.
Odell’s in a difficult position, supposedly he presents a level headed view, but given ten31 can’t invest in any projects that require changes to Bitcoin, he may be legally required to take a neutral position, either than or if one of the portfolio companies being knee capped by bip110, it makes sense. Will be interesting to see if anything is covered on this and Saylor’s new interest in protocol development will be discussed on RHR. But also, no discussion will also say a lot.
