You know it's interesting. I don't think these two ideas are opposed to each other. Bitcoin becoming a place that is safe for people to store a certain amount of their economic energy is one stone in a series of stones that crosses the river to payments. But custody is turning out to be a real stumbling block. The more that is fleshed out and solved, the quicker we get to payments, because people will have it. And more people might prefer it over other forms of money. But until people can feel safe holding it, what makes it better than venmo?
