You sound like a Saylor maximalist. How about the instant settlement on layer twos which would help merchants save more money? Bitcoin is more than a store of value and will need to be if we're to scale it to 8+ billion

Bitcoin becoming a place that is safe for people to store a certain amount of their economic energy is one stone in a series of stones that crosses the river to payments.
But custody is turning out to be a real stumbling block. The more that is fleshed out and solved, the quicker we get to payments, because people will have it. And more people might prefer it over other forms of money.
But until people can feel safe holding it, what makes it better than venmo?
I feel perfectly safe holding 99% of my stack with self custody, and the remaining on a self hosted Lightning node. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
