100% some call it a form of poison. And it probably is in many contexts. But the quality is not something most consider. I have an anolagous rule regarding bakery sweets etc. I will not buy them. But if i labor away in the kitchen, making a high quality pie often with homegrown ingredients, i figure this constraint limits my indulgence into such sweets. Ive collected about 14 lbs of black elderberry this year, have you ever made wine from these? Im going to try making a batch soon. Any advice?
