Nodelou🐈 Update: Apparently the 10% target was too low 😽 image Not bad. My humble pleb node routed over 21 BTC and counting in the past seven days alone... Mindblowing! Feels pretty amazing coming back from a full rebuild, ready to quit routing forever– and now six months later looking at stats like this. 🧡 HUGE thank you to all the #Plebnet noderunners. I would not be here if it were not for the massive amount of help and support over the years. The LN community is absolutely amazing, I'm forever grateful to be a small part of it. 🙏 P.S. Any #Noderunners out there please drop your pubkey in the comments. Any operators with more than 10 public channels will recieve a 10k sat zap for your service. 🫡 #Lightning #LN #Nodestrich #Nodelou🐈

Nodelou🐈 giving c= a run for their sats at 9.25% ROI and rising over last 30 days. @Nick Slaney I’m coming for you! Amazing job to you and the c= team. We need to dispel the myth that you can’t earn consistent yield on #Lightning. Friendly bet, if I top your 10% ROI by end of the month, c= opens a 25M channel to Nodelou🐈? Wdyt? #noderunners #ln #lightningnetwork #nodestrich image View quoted note →

The past two weeks I have leaned heavy into LOOP. Fees lately have been through the roof, along with volume. Idk how long this trend will continue but it’s been amazing as long as it lasts.
Yes, LNDg is a massive part of my noderunning. It’s the one piece of software I literally couldn’t run my node without (After LND and Bitcoind of course!). But I have mostly backed away from automation in favor of manual control. I have used automation in the past and it’s a great tool for hammock mode and minimal intervention strategy. I averaged about 3% over the past few months. Lately my strategy has relied heavily on LOOP. The last two weeks fees (and volumes) are absolutely through the roof. With the new strategy I am having to do a lot more hands on approach, adjusting fees more often and managing much larger liquidity swings in both directions.
Here’s a brief overview:

I actually would not run LNDG on a very active routing node. It's resource intensive. You really want to minimize disk reads/writes as much as possible and you can do this by sending events from LND to an external DB or application and doing all your analytics there.
Yeah that’s a great point- Especially on Postgres backend it can be a cpu hog with some of the rpc calls it makes. I have modified the code slightly to minimize the impact somewhat. Payments import are the heaviest load.
One big channel with LOOP that I try my best to keep supplied with fresh liquidity daily. Either Loop in or rebalance if possible. Node is set up with LOOP at center (biggest channel) with next largest channels being exchanges and larger routing nodes acting as main highways. Then the smaller pleb nodes that supply inbound and reach. Think of it like a hub with bigger connections leading to smaller ones. I use LNDg for channel management and rebalancing. Fee management is all manual.
Some of both. Loop in mostly. Although part of the strategy involves using negative inbound fees on heavy sink channels such as kraken, bitfinex, okx etc. so if you’re lucky you can catch a nice inbound routing *from* Loop to an exchange. Or vice-versa. Essentially you are getting paid in both directions, you just need to put liquidity where it’s needed, when it’s needed.

incredible results @Filou ! In the last week I saw an huge increment in forwards but I'm still far from that target. Working hard to get there 💪🏻! 030d8457f7c7f2a5d87faf538b0b85760556154b46d178a2d8fffa94b81a9cdb3f
Wow nice stats! I'm already more than happy if my node manages to earn the amount of sats I spend on zaps :) 0249403f62becf33ad491ef88be42e5beb26892ea57312c7b31ddcd2c9a2f83dad
That’s a decent result all the same! As long as you’re earning more than is costs to run it’s a win for you & the network too. ⚡️
Of course, sent! Btw I had to close our channel during the last liquidity crunch a few days ago 😢 Balance was all on my side and it had not moved in a while. Always feel free to reopen! Sorry about that.
I totally understand the situation hahaha, we aren't so far away in the network so we still "route" traffic just with another intermediate node. Providing liquidity to LOOP, fixedfloat and similar nodes are super profitable "if" you have a clearnet connection, so use that in your favor and keep growing 😉 I will open the channel again in the future, this is a long term project.
Yeah things were wild for a few days, but you’re always welcome to connect anytime. Glad to dual fund if you prefer too.⚡️
