Yep, I didn't need to pau for Jesus, my husband or my son! 🥰
Some good things you need to pay for tho 🤞🏼
So it’s not the best thing 😏
Of course not
Question…
If plebs were able to provide you all the ingredients need would you still charge for your products?
How do you mean?
Communist?
Would you give (free) away your products if other people gave (free) you all the ingredients needs to make…
How would I earn money/value to then pay for the things I need in my life? Not everyone will accept a jar of pecan butter to fill my gas tank. I believe this is the coincidence of wants problem.
Unless I’m missing something here…
Good try
True. Nothing in real life is free.
This wasn’t a question about making money…
It was a hypothetical if you wound or wouldn’t…
If people were to supply me with ingredients for free, I would supply my products for free as well…
Okay, then yeah sure if not paying for things in life wasn’t an issue and I were getting ingredients supplied to me for free, then yes, I would.
Awesome sauce
I wouldn’t engrave a watch for free if someone gave me their watch to engrave. Ingredients dont turn themselves into a finished product.
lol okay yeah so I’m the only one that wants to think otherwise
Doesnt it take a pretty hefty amount of time to process all those pecans, make the butter, put it in jars, print labels, pack and ship?
Just having free ingredients would be turning you into an unpaid small-batch factory worker.
Naw man I’ve I was giving all I need to make vanilla products I’d give them away for free…
I don’t believe in the financial system as a whole and think this is how society should function…
No money, things are free, we all work for the betterment of everyone…
Ya I know it makes me sound crazy…
Ya I know it’s a pipe dream in this capitalist world…
Why not?
How long does it take grow pecans, or to process sugar?
There would be others giving away time consuming products away as well…
Yeah and don’t forget my time cleaning up afterwords.
Because it takes time and effort and I like being compensated for my efforts. Im open to bartering but I need to pay for taxis and buses to get around and food costs money
Yes
It takes time and effort to make the metal disks you would use for engraving…
And those were given to you for free you would still charge?
You wouldn’t charge for your labor?
It is a pipe dream in any world. You can’t make enough for everyone here for free.
I do not believe this to be true…
Doesn’t matter what you believe. No one is retarded enough to engage in trade they perceive to be unequal.
Define work. Define betterment. Those two things are exactly why markets and money exist.
Do I really need to give define words?
I don’t think money or the market actually achieves that…
@jack mallers framed this in a way that resonated with me. Human wants are unlimited. Production and resources are not.
Don’t bother wasting your time 😂
Yes. I volunteer my time and efforts working at a local soup kitchen. When I’m engraving watches, that’s me making art. That costs me time, and that costs money, or at least a barter. This isn’t a hippie commune.
Repeating a lie won't make it true.
We produce far more than we need, human population could double right now and there would still be enough food, housing, clothing, etc. for everyone
I agree with this…
Yeah but you still have to produce. It’s not just sitting there ready for you.
