Are you sure we aren't just calling people we dont like influencers and people we do like are thought leaders? Or some title with more prestige?
What defines an influencer anyway? Anyone with more than 10k?

an influencer is someone who encourages their audience to rely on them in order to monetize their attention above everything else

there are people who have natural influence because of character traits and success.
influencers are like a 3 musketeers bar… sweet, full of air, and bad for you. constantly marketing themselves as worthy of your attention without ever offering substance. they are kardasians
