* You tell it that it's super smart and an expert in field X.
* You tell it not to make mistakes.
* You tell it not to hallucinate.

An LLM is already an expert in whatever subjects it had been trained upon.
Telling it to be an expert does nothing but burn tokens with a useless directive.
These prompts may still slightly change behavior. An LLM is loaded with all kinds of knowledge and behavior. It chooses what to do based on prompt.
I’m not so sure. Most of the training is reproducing average quality content.
I might save a tokens if I prompt: „write a really good poem about bitcoin in medieval style“
Forgot one: telling it to 'think step by step' like you've discovered something.
That’s just empirically false and has been proven false in numerous tests, is this bait to expose people who actually are good at LLMs?
