Ok, so this is the ditto instance I spun up: I'm still messing with the instance a lot, but if you want an Oregon bitcoiners nip-05 log in and request one (I don't want to ask for personal info, so I'm not going to ask you to prove it, but please be at least from Oregon or active in the area). I have the instance to set to write to a small mess of relays. Still learning the ins and outs of ditto. And FYI I'm not ditching any of the sovbit.host stuff. All that will remain up. I just wanted to do this for my meet up. buut it turned into all of Oregon because why not. (and the domain was available.)

Confirmed works. Don't be sleeping on Ditto and the implications. Small groups of people interacting locally (forming nodes) inside of the larger nostr protocol (network). I really need to pick up a network theory book because something is happening and I don't seem to have the vocabulary to adequately describe the feelings I'm getting here. Any suggestions? I am headed up to Coos Bay to pick up my mom's ashes before taking her on an adventure up the coast. Where are the non-socialist bitcoiners in Oregon? In 2018, Portland meetup was like a festival of the intellectually lazy and psychologically flabby. Where are the baddies?
The Eugene meetup is pretty small. We do meetups on the first Thursday of every month, and we got a pretty small core group that shows up and a few people who come in and out every month, every now and then some peeps from Portland show up. It's mostly just beers and talking about Bitcoin and Bitcoin related things.
If we had more regular attendees, there would probably be some more structure to it, but with the current size of it, there's no real point to having a lot of structure.
No, I don't have any of the bridges on the instance, but you can add it to your personal relay list if you wanted to, and technically be bridged.
Or I will ping you when I'm coming and we can make our own meetup. ๐Ÿ˜ Also, if you know anyone who sells eggs, meat and/or produce for BTC, I'll be buying.

Cool, i live in the Portland Metro, never met another bitcoiner around here in my life. You run a meetup ?
I didn't start the meetup, but I'm in Eugene. There are a lot of Portland bitcoiners. I'm talking with someone up there to try and get them on this instance. We do a first Thursday meet up every month in Eugene.
