The display in great, though I hope for a 2nd gen with higher PPI down the line. Ever since I got mine, I’ve been reading books, articles, various PDFs on it every chance I got. It’s no comparison to my old Kindle Oasis or reading on your typical tablet. I especially love reading old scanned books on it. The plastic isn’t that great and durable and it keeps on yellowing out a bit, especially around the edges (which aren’t all that perfect w/r/t to clearances either), just like an old 90s computer tower. It’s still stuck on Android 13 with basically no security updates but I use mine in airplane mode 95% of the time anyways. Android 16 should be coming soon though. I seriously hope they also update their Reader app because it’s still quite buggy. A few impressions after almost a year of heavy use: First to last: Display brightness set to 0%, Amber Backlight at 100% outside, Amber backlight indoors, back.
