I think the important distinction of #nostr vs other "legacy" social media is that since we don't leverage an algo based on engagement - Negative or Positive, the content is judged by the merits of its content. What I mean is, the propagation of hate isn't supercharged here. Does hate-filled nonsense still exist? Sure but I think its reach is limited to purely those who wish to see it, not everyone else.
