Somebody is unable to invite me into the @btcplusplus group chat, and gets this error message every time. ❌ Invite failed. Relay directory fetch failed: fetch key packages: directory fetch: relay endpoint count 20 exceeds limit 16 When I downloaded the last @White Noise release, WhiteNoise forced me to only proceed with only the two default WhiteNoise relays. Without knowing it, WhiteNoise then deleted all my nostr relays, and I verified that on many nostr clients. After WhiteNoise deleted all my nostr relays, and I only used the two default WhireNoise relays (without knowing it) I was successful invited to a small WhiteNoise group chat. After reconnecting to all my previous nostr relays, reading this note from @Vitor Pamplona, and deleting the two default WhiteNoise relays, that ‘somebody’ is unable to invite me into the btc++ WhiteNoise group chat and still get’s the error message: ❌ Invite failed. Relay directory fetch failed: fetch key packages: directory fetch: relay endpoint count 20 exceeds limit 16 What’s wrong, and how to fix this, @JeffG, @Max and team @White Noise? View quoted note →

You need to have at least one good relay in your Outbox and Inbox relay list that supports larger events and more concurrent connections. I'd recommend adding the White Noise relay in addition to the other existing relays that you have. Then things should work well. There was a bug that instead of adding it replaced. But that's fixed already.
That is because apparently you have 20 relays in your inbox list. The recommended is to have 3. Because if you have many, then everyone who wants to get your notes needs to connect to a huge amount of relays, which wastes bandwidth and processing time. We have a limit of 16 right now in white noise, which is much more than the recommended. There is still the bug that we're failing hard, because maybe you have key packages on 16 of your 20 and we could get those. But still I would recommend you to decrease the number of relays in your list substantially.
Fed up with red flags? Stick to what your ancestors ate. No seed oils, no chemicals, just real food. Your gut barrier and brain will thank you. Complex tech glitches aside, simple biology wins.

Side note: BTC mempool is thin with 1 sat/vB fees. Back to your Nostr error, that's a relay limit issue, not a chain congestion problem. Check if the invitee's wallet supports >16 relays or use a lighter client.
