Lagarde: "Europe is at risk of losing monetary sovereignty to private dollar stablecoins."
Nobody suggested to stand by and just watch this happen. I knew that it was a bad idea to make a former synchrone swimmer the boss of the European Central Bank.

She should be a life guard in the Freibad
She's got people telling her all day to use Bitcoin, instead of getting crushed by Tether and instead she goes Eurocoin cuz she's lame. Well, she retires soon, at any rate.
She's retiring? When?
A EUR today is a EUR tomorrow or, 43 cents
Her position runs out 10.2027.
She's still an unusually smart cookie, but she'll soon be over 70 and she thinks the Internet is Neuland. I doubt she even understands the basics of Bitcoin, or why its crazy that Europe doesn't press the massive head start it gained from the regional Bitcoin movements and the massive glut of the renewable energy.
The EU can practically print Bitcoin for next to nothing and pay off its debts. Huge missed opportunity out there. All the facepalms, fr. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Well besides her lack of grasping finance and being close to 70.. these fucks don't just retire. I think she'll be around a couple more years
That's due to an actual scarcity of goods and services pushing up their prices, not monetary expansion. I don't know how the ECB can prevent that. They can't print oil and wheat and SSD cards; only euros.
Even with the German and EU debt bonanzas and Trump chaos, the 10y Bund remains below 3%...
They were actually thinking about asking her to retire early, so that Macron and Merz can pick her replacement. If she stays too long, the AfD and RN might be choosing the next ECB chief. This is the thing.
