I lacked a lot of that in my youth, and it's hard to just pick that up as an adult. My dad spent most of his time working at his restaurant, and the time I spent with him when I was younger was through working there (started at 11). I mostly grew up around Greek women, so the traditional female gender roles are what I'm more comfortable with. Explains why I enjoy cooking, cleaning, and even spending a lot of time with my daughters when they were babies. I would have happily been a stay at home dad, but I worked second shift so I could be with them most of the day.
