Toil or hobby.
I lacked a lot of that in my youth, and it's hard to just pick that up as an adult. My dad spent most of his time working at his restaurant, and the time I spent with him when I was younger was through working there (started at 11).
I mostly grew up around Greek women, so the traditional female gender roles are what I'm more comfortable with. Explains why I enjoy cooking, cleaning, and even spending a lot of time with my daughters when they were babies.
I would have happily been a stay at home dad, but I worked second shift so I could be with them most of the day.
Purpose-driven toil? Like a startup.
I also feel like I just missed out on some mythical innovation broship where my mind could have sparked a 1000 startups. Maybe I’ll find my peers by creating them as agents and vibe prompting. Or maybe here on nostr? But who has the gall to go to nostr meetups knowing how central planners infiltrate smart people networks … ah well—lonely is as lonely does.
