The “bitcoin goes up forever” narrative is inaccurate and not helpful in understanding bitcoin.
Inaccurate because at some point in the future bitcoin will not have a fiat price. Nobody will sell bitcoin for paper.
At that point, which I think is coming sooner than most realize, bitcoin will not be “going up” in terms of pieces of paper.
“It’s going up forever”/NGU in general works as a marketing thing for now, but if people don’t see the real power of bitcoin because they’re so focused on the fiat price, then the mission is not complete.
Number go down technology, prices falling forever, is a better way to understand what’s happening. Hyperinflation of the dollar and fiat currencies started in 2008 and all assets, goods and services are being repriced in bitcoin.
Just a random thought. Maybe Nostr already understands this but in my opinion most bitcoiners still don’t.

Everything, assets, goods, services, even everyday life, is being re-denominated in #Bitcoin. Anyone still only watching the dollar hasn’t fully grasped the game.
Ultimately, #Bitcoin is not just a network, an asset, or a payment method; #Bitcoin is the true standard of value in an inflationary world. Once people understand this, they realize that NGU is just the beginning of the journey, not the end goal.
