That’s why BIP-110 is temporary. To have the time to come up with better solution, while we dodge the possibility of large toxic op_returns ending up on the chain and staying there forever.

What could be better than stopping CSAM and trash on Bitcoin? It's a step forward. We need to step forward. Not taking that step and wanting a "better proposasl" in this climate? Sus as.

I'm not against filtering non-financial transactions, but the proposal needs to be more robust and permanent rather than expiring in c. 1 year. BIP 110 sets bitcoin up for the addition of new filters at a whim, which will inevitably include filters for financial transactions.

The filters are inadequate. The temporary nature creates time pressure that can be used to bounce noderunners into an even worse situation. A mechanism that allows new filters to be slotted in more easily and more frequently will inevitably result in filtering of financial transactions. There needs to be one soft fork that is actually effective. The proposal needs to come from new people.
