When you really think about it, most of you aren’t any different from communists—you only see things in black and white, and as soon as someone has an opinion of their own that goes beyond ideologies, or an opinion you can’t understand, you attack them. And it’s not that I’m against anarcho-capitalism; in fact, I believe in it as such—I don’t see any other theoretical option—but I know it wouldn’t work in the real world. That’s the only difference I have with you, but this no longer passes the purity test. In fact, analyzing the problem and establishing an inviolable premise—namely, the non-existence of the state—the only solution to the problem from a mathematical standpoint is social isolation or interacting as little as possible with society, provided you’re allowed to live on the margins of it, whether that’s a state or a megacorporation. The same thing happens with Bitcoin and purity tests. It was hard for me to see projects I’d collaborated on renounce Bitcoin and accept Monero. The theory of Bitcoin is one thing; the practice is another. Purity tests prevent you from thinking clearly; the real world is very imperfect, and what sounds great in your head doesn’t work quite as well in reality.

Power is the root cause of social problems; power always tends to concentrate and bypass all restrictions, whether it comes from a state or a megacorporation. The more self-sufficient you are, the less socially dependent you’ll be, and the further you’ll be able to distance yourself from the concentration of power that comes with living in society.
