Am I wrong or there is no second best page for search results in YouTube anymore? You get just like 5 results from your query and then only "recommended" content afterwards.

You are not wrong. YouTube search is totally unusable now (along with all of the search engines as well)
Right, but with nostr we have a chance to do it right, and actually recommend similar content to user searches, opposed to force feed them whatever group thinking is most popular at that point in time.
And yet the amazing algorithm just keeps suggesting me the same things I have already watched over and over, or at best some other random video from a channel I watch a lot. Very good job, they probably have a multi-million dollar AI department but the results are indistinguishable from what a 5-line Python script could do.

YouTube recommends me content that is "similar" to what I searched, it's just not what I was searching for at all and doesn't even have the search terms.

Mine alternates between blocks of search results and “recommended / viewers also watched” videos. They must be testing a new layout on you! (Or me!)
You're not wrong. YouTube search isn't good anymore.
They are also injecting propagandistic videos with <400 views into my recommendations because it's "pride month"
i only use yt for music videos so the worst i get is like dreamstate logic or something
I get much more accurate results by using Google to search with the "video" filter engaged...
Yea it's completely useless now, it used to show accurate results even if it had like 2 views
I love YouTube.. I don't even need to search anymore .. seriously..it knows what I should be watching at this time of the day ....or night .. clever ..isn't it ?

I refuse to believe there are only two results for how to skim foam from jam. No way. And now they play me three minute adverts after every song on music player. Bastards

Somewhat. Its not like it was 5yrs ago but it's miles better than seeing the "new on your network"/"vids you might like" that are undeniably unrelated
YT search algo has been incredibly awful since we entered 2024.
Just install Unhook to clean up your YouTube discovery.
On the mobile app you have to pull down on the search results and then select the “Videos” tab. Not sure on the web but probably something similar.
