If you think Bitcoin as money can't win in a free market fight for block space against spam you're as much of a bear as Peter Schiff.
Ordinals already went under Runes will go in time as well, but it'll take longer as they are cheaper (and 110 compliant).
Block space isn't yours to dole out or gatekeep. Regardless of Luke's Vision.

Clearly. Hence why ord.io shut down, and blocks are so empty you can get in next block for a few sats, and get mined for 0.13 sats/vbyte.
Definitely an existential crisis.
We have a blocksize cap. Spam isn't crowding out shit. Blockspace just isn't being used much.
Unless of course the mere existence of full blocks offends you. We should definitely work on making sure nobody uses bitcoin at all to keep the chain smaller.

Spam is the shit that devalues Bitcoin. Bitcoiners and Bitcoin miners have all the reasons in the world to run BIP110.
