I was thinking of writing something very similar today, but I wasn't sure what words to use. You said it really well. I was previously told that I needed to add my own relays, at least 3, and was given two suggestions from the creator, which I added but it only seemed to help for a tiny bit and not fully! He also said the auto fill relays were only for new people .. well, I'd still like them cause I don't have enough knowledge, and certainly not enough money to pay for relays. Plus it did auto fill one that needed to be removed, wine something I think. I used to really like it, and I mostly hung out on the global feed cause I'd see a lot of fun people who were active and then I'd get new ones, and rarely did I get the porn posts, but now I don't go there at all cause it's just trash there now. Or last I tried it at least. I hadn't followed people cause I didn't like all of their posts, only some of them, but now I miss everything.

@Vitor Pamplona what happened to Amethyst? Any way to backtrack it?

Matt, you don't have a public inbox relays. Amethyst doesn't know where to get any notification for you. And nobody else knows where to send those notifications to you. You need to add public inbox relays.

What's happening on your account Ann? What don't you see? Your global feed brings posts from all your follows outbox relays and nothing else.

Hum.. you don't see your own replies on Amethyst? Those come from your public outbox relays.

My notifications are sporadic, old, and inconsistent. This is what I see right now even after letting it load for a few minutes. I didn't know you had replied to me except fro using primal on my laptop. Sometimes i see new notifications, but then i close it and open it again, or even leave it for a bit and go back to notifications after having integrated elsewhere on Nostr for a bit, and it's different. If i get zapped, I'll get a notification but when I click on it but it very rarely takes me to the post, it opens Amethyst and then either takes me to the feed or notifications section but with nothing showing what I got the zap on. In one day when I got multiple zaps throughout the day, each time I check the notifications, it showes something like "0 zaps, 100 sats, 50 sats, 21 sats, 0 sats, 90 sats." Rarely ever showing the actual total, and each time I opened it, it gives me different answers. There might be more glitches but these are what I remember right now.

I used to have ut as ny #1 client but now I am experiencing the same challenge. I only use it for checking thread convo which I find it better than other mobile client in android. I am hopeful they get it back on track. 😔🙏
