Having a sidearm and getting into an altercation of any kind is really reckless. (I don’t open carry but I do generally do have a firearm on me) One thing that stuck with me was a CCW instructor that explained that carrying a weapon means that you are never going to be escalating any altercation. Ever. Because if you do, someone will prob die. Maybe you, maybe them. Nobody wants that. 🧡👊🏻🍻

Yep. I’ve heard of rookie cops who were involved in a “good” shoot. 40+ years later, that guy still woke up in a cold sweat at least once per year. It sticks with you. Nobody wants that. I also carry everywhere I can. I hope never to have to use it, but if I see some rabid dog with whom I am unable to reason who is attacking some defenseless child, bye bye doggie.

I open carry a "tactical" flashlight. (meaning it's made of metal and has a very bright light and strobe settings). If I ever get in an altercation, or lose my keys under the car on a dark night... all set! 😆
