I’d rather have someone who’s pro-crypto who uses, or holds crypto over someone like Elizabeth Warren, or Warren Buffet who dislikes crypto. It might not be the optimal policy but it’s preferable over the alternatives.
Yes, to avoid conflict of interests. In government it’s generally not ideal to regulate something you’re proactively benefiting from. If for example he owned 1 million of XRP, and then the government bought XRP then he would enrich himself, whereas with this the laws for crypto are more fair/objective.
