I could see table mountain from my window, and I was doing some dumbass content management on WordPress. Quit a month later and never returned to corporate again.
Mind you, it had been stacking up little by little, from the watercooler drama to the unnecessary competition with colleagues. If you're good at what you do you become a target from higher ups who want to protect their jobs security knowing that you could take their spot.
Fuck that noise.
