Switching between Damus and Primal (testing both), I still feel like Damus is more of a Nostr experience. Maybe it’s my bias from the early days, but the instant replies and visibility of notes is what Nostr is all about. YMMV

Think people just stay wherever they felt comfortable with .

I’ve played around with Primal and can see why some people would like it but I still prefer Damus. I think partly because of bias from the early days too, but I’m also not a fan of the Primal design with the cache server. It is a good thing to have choices of clients with Nostr though.
Cache server is in the right direction, IMHO
From the point of view of user experience it is but if you have a cache controlled by a single entity then it can easily be used for censorship (and likely will be).
I think that boat has sailed already, so we are discussing a moot point
