Yeah. I call it the Bitcoin metanoia. John Vallis, totally independently, had the portmanteau "Bitnoia" in his personal notes on the subject.
There are levels to this, just like Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, and the ultimate level of self-actualization is very much in play (for those who have not yet self-actualized as a pre-coiner).
One of the biggest reasons for this is that studying Bitcoin involves studying the sister science to Austrian economics: praxeology, the study of human action. Praxeology is a "Golden Rule discipline", much like psychology, neurology, method acting, Tarot, astrology, etc. Anything that involves archetypes and getting into the mind of others is a Golden Rule discipline and the Golden Rule is, by far, the simplest path to that state of being which Maslow chose to label "self-actualization".

Vallis is one of my favorite bitcoin talkers. Sometimes he hints at some hidden knowledge, maybe along gnostic lines. Makes sense, with that name.
I've tried reaching out to him before.
Ironically, prior to receiving my name from Medicine Man which started this ongoing 35 month research bender, I was within spitting distance of John at Bitcoin 2022 at nostr:npub1mfndvgwstwm604jvrt07p6nyy898mdsdzzyumx9sdn8u6r4za4uqck6f8v's booth, but at that point in time, I didn't recognize him, nor would I have had anything insightful to offer on the subject of Bitcoin and consciousness/spirituality.
