Worry is a waste of mind.......actionable steps?
What a week Marty!! Congrats on the 500+ episodes of TFTC . First in 501 with M Corallo you really bring to the open the conversation that Im sure was happening behind some doors. Im guessing all the pools pooling with Antpool kinda knew and now the cat is out of the bag. We´ll see what happens.. Then your episode 500 with Matthew Lisiak on fiat food was the one that connected the dots for me on so many levels. Grew in the 70s-80s in latam and europe and can attest to the big change in food recommendations and habits. Thanks for being one of the voices that never avoids the hard conversations, on the contrary you like to start them
So what's Cathedra's position on this @MartyBent? No question that the big 4 pools are WAY too large, and as @mononaut and @0x10c identified, there's even further centralisation behind them It's a simple "problem" to resolve: miners point their hashrate elsewhere .. basically anywhere EXCEPT Foundry, Antpool, ViaBTC and F2Pool - all of them too large and all in jurisdictions clearly hostile to Bitcoin What is Cathedra going to do? image View quoted note →

Braidpool can hopefully resurrect the p2pool model. It obviously requires more of individual miners, but making solo mining viable again without joining a giant pool is pretty big. Hopefully it will be low enough overhead to attract some bigger operations, too.
#firetheminers ? We seriously need to squeeze the fucking miners and pools, man, we have tolerated this long enough. SV2 has been out for a while now, there is no justification for not using it.
damn it man. I was talking about exactly this but from a theoretical perspective a couple weeks ago. sad to see we're already there. time for literally everyone in this movement to pick up a miner. it's the ak-47 of the digital age. View quoted note →
