Just watched the whole thing. It's great until it goes off the rails in the last fifteen minutes. I think it's Roger Ver and Amir Taaki that sent the documentary maker chasing a ghost. They made RBF seem important, even suspecting it to be a government sabotage effort. This glorifies @Peter Todd's image in his head, which Peter then openly exploited - while being very honest about doing so. The bigger meta mistake the documentary maker made was to seek out people who enjoy being on TV. If he'd contacted experts in a more systematic way they would have ruined the plot.
