I surely thought they would be closer to antelopes. But that is convergent evolition for ya.
Another fun fact; they run so fast to get away from a predator that no longer exists, the American cheetah.
I was always amazed when I was driving 80kph down a gravel road and a group of antelope in the field would keep pace. Swift.
