GTK feels more like a real desktop toolkit, egui can feel a bit toy like. Nostrdb + GTK sounds like a fun hacker combo - would love to see screenshots once it runs.

egui is superior and much more portable

It looks horrible though. And I'm not creative or artsy enough to make things pretty on my own.. I need the toolkit to do some of that heavy lifting.
