That I can set aliases like simplelogin, and maybe use own domains.

Tarpits should absolutely cost something to the sender, not the processor.
Email should have been developed this way, but like the USPS does for mailers.
Protonmail can do that, except they will delivery in 10 years.
I would get involved in a project like that. I'm not a developer, but I've been hosting Internet email since UUCP was a thing, and could probably find other ways to contribute like testing and documenting.

I think if email had been developed that way, we wouldn't use email. We would have invented a different way to talk to each other for free.

Not sure what I meant! I don't want to use any more e-mail clients
I am with you! I hate emails as well.
It would be a good way for aliases, but would not solve the insecure aspect of emails.
Let's see if I can come up with a prototype on the weekend.
