Did a shooting class this weekend.
Teacher said if you shoot someone in the neck, the bullet will keep going & hit someone beyond the target.

Next time ask your teacher about frangible bullets.
On a serious note I did used to deer hunt with 223. If I had a clear enough shot I would aim for the neck. If you hit a deer spine with that caliber it would snap the spine and fragment. Turn the neck into hamburger with no exit wound.
