dusting off an old book on the shelf i never finished nostr's problem is that it's not common knowledge. if it was then its applications would be obvious to a lot more people

correct. Here is a few ideas : Being able to zap through watching an Ad : You like someone's stuff but you can't zap because poor or didn't wanna hook up zaps, you can watch an ad and the person still gets sats. relays force verifiable ads on clients for monetization or require sats for data. Basically people won't go through the trouble of getting zaps hooked up and funded just to chuck 5 cents at someone. If you can't do that and you're not censored or LOVE freedom of expression, nostr has no perceptible value. But being able to contribute to favorite creators for free does have a value.

It's back up. The problem was on the hosting server. It did a reset and didn't notify the dev of satellite. I got it worked out early this morning with the dev. It got fixed with a couple keystrokes. New server host incoming so this doesn't happen again in the future. I'm happy to know the dev IRL and was able to pick up the phone and call him since no one told him Satellite was down. He handled it before running out the door to catch his flight. Big surprise incoming for the friends of Satellite. Keep your eyes open. Big drop inbound.
